Sports Schedules - Keeping it simple When dealing with sports scheduling software the 2 most important things are: being able to easily setup the schedule and being able to easily view and get to the schedules. lookingforagame.com does both.
Easy setup for sports schedules: We ask for minimal information to create a team. Sport, team name, city, state, and club/school name, email and password. Club/school is requested so that when you are adding an event/game to the system the address of the location only needs to be entered 1 time. After the first time that an address is entered for your club/school, a drop list will be provided. City and State are requested for a default starting location when we provide directions. Email and password are required to update or add events/games to the system. There are additional fields but they are optional but it is suggested that you fill them in.
You can be as detailed as you'd like to be when adding a game to the system. Opponent or event, date and time, location and address (remember a drop list will be provided for locations and addresses previously entered for your club/school), additional notes for the game or event.
Easily view schedules The only time someone needs to log into the system is when they want to update or add a game. Don't we all have enough usernames and passwords to remember already. If you simply want to view a schedule or multiple team schedules you can get to it in 3 clicks or save the calendar page as a favorite and you can go directly to it. Anybody can view a schedule. You can easily search for your team schedule by selecting the search criteria. You can view the sports schedule in a monthly calendar view or in a grid like view. You can also view multiple sports schedule at the same time. You can also save the sport schedule calendar page as a favorite to easily return to it later.
Multiple team schedules Do you have multiple schedules that you need view at the same time? Maybe you coach multiple teams or your a parent with a couple of kids or maybe you're the field or ref assignor and you need to view conflicts. Just select the teams you want, regardless of the sport or team, and you can view all schedules with teams color coded. How do you put the schedules together now? You track down the schedules that you need and you write on a calendar or create your own spreadsheet or document with the schedules. Then when something changes to cross out, erase, try to find the original electronic version and update it. As busy as you are, do you really have time for all of that? Wouldn't it be nice to just go to one web page and view ALL of the schedules in a monthly calendar view. We provide that for you so that you don't have to waste your time putting these schedules together.
Keep everyone informed We do more than just sports schedules. How do you communicate with members of the team? Send out multiple emails, paper copies, phone calls, ... Why?? Just update the web site which everyone can check on a regular basis or if you need to send an email or text message use our web site. We will fill in the event/game information into the body of the email or text message. You can use your default email (yahoo, gmail, outlook, etc) or text messages can be sent via Twitter. Don't have a Twitter account - it's free and easy to use and we provide instructions on the site. Get your team to follow you (instructions are on the site) on Twitter. You are free to update the message. This is great for GPS systems. Just send the event which could contain the address and location name of where the event is and it is readily available to be entered into a GPS.
Interfacing with team web sites We know some teams may not want their team members to go to other sites, and we can appreciate that. We do have a product that you and your team members can benefit from. There is no reason for you to develop a sports scheduling system on your own so we will work with team sites to customize access to lookingforagame.com.
